Delivery Methods

Our delivery costs vary depending on location and the order weights. Delivery will be automatically calculated at checkout, or if you are outside our standard delivery area you can contact us to arrange a shipping quote.

Please Note that our delivery methods are weight based. All orders are packed upon a wooden pallet unless under 75kg when we may ship by box. We operate a maximum pallet weight of 1000kg and so once you go over 1000kg of material a second delivery charge is added and so on.

You can also collect from us directly for free. Please note all orders must be placed and paid for online in advance to collection, meeting the minimum order of £200 plus VAT per transaction.

Delivery & Packing Charges

We are always trying to keep these costs down by using several reputable delivery companies. Our shipping rates cover the delivery information map zones shown. We also have the facility to ship certain goods to Europe & USA, among other destinations please contact us at sales@kilnlinings.co.uk should you wish for us to quote a delivery zone outside of the UK/ R.O.Ireland.

Cancellations

Should you order something from us, and wish to terminate the order soon after, if we have already despatched the goods, you will be liable for any charges that we incur as a result of your cancellation.

Delivery Details – Information for Transport

Most deliveries will be made using couriers and not our own vehicles, for this reason we ask you to inform us if there will be any access problems for a dual axel lorry (roughly a “bin wagon size” lorry). Alternative delivery plans can be made if we have been made aware beforehand (please note this can on occasion lead to additional charges depending upon requirements).

If you placed your order before11.00 a.m. on a working day (Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays) we aim to dispatch on the same day, otherwise your order should be dispatched on the following working day.

Generally you should receive your order within 2-3 working days by standard pallet service. Or within 1-2 working days if next working day delivery was selected and paid for (depending upon what time of day you ordered i.e before or after 11am).

UK Highlands, Islands, N.Ireland and R.O.Ireland is usually within 5 working days based on a standard service.

*We cannot guarantee these delivery times as they are provided by third parties outside our control.

Delivery times are usually between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Naturally these are dependent upon traffic and various other things including “acts of god” outside our control. We therefore cannot guarantee these times mentioned will be adhered to but we will do our very best.

We ask all of our customers NOT to book any installer, or other related trade persons until your goods have arrived safely with you and have been checked as correct and in good condition.

Delivery Day Information

It is imperative that there is an able bodied person at the “shipping address” who can check and sign for the goods upon delivery. The delivery driver will most likely deliver and place the goods at the easiest access point of the property such as driveway or front garden. It is then your responsibility to move the goods to your own desired location after delivery has taken place.

Please Note: We will not dispatch the goods until it has been confirmed by phone/email with the customer that someone will be available to sign at the “shipping address” given. This is because a failed delivery (due to no-one being available to sign as detailed above) would result in a second delivery charge in order to attempt a further delivery. We are unable to leave the goods without a signature. Out of courtesy we do ask the driver to call 1 hour prior to delivery, but we can’t guarantee this will occur, as we use outside transport companies some of the time.

Signing For Your Goods

Please do not sign for or accept any goods until unpacked and checked in full. Only sign if you are completely satisfied with the condition of your purchase. Items that have been signed for “cleanly” are deemed satisfactory in condition. If you are unsure about an item, we ask you to contact us prior to signing. If you are not given adequate time by the driver to inspect the goods, if we have instructed you to do so, or if the item is damaged then please sign the driver’s documents as “Damaged”. This will allow us to open up claims proceedings with the transport company, in the event of damage occurring. We operate a 48hour inspection window, allowing you up to 2days to take the time and inspect the goods thoroughly. Any problems/issues must be identified to a member of our customer services team at sales@kilnlinings.co.uk within this 48hour window, in order for us to be able to open up claims proceedings. Any problems/issues reported after this window may incur additional carriage costs, for replacement parts at our discretion. In addition replacement of damaged parts only notified after 48 hours past will be chargeable in full.

Claims Procedure

Should damage occur, we will open a claims proceeding. It is vital for us to gather as much information about the nature of the damage and how it occurred, through this we ask if you can provide photographs of the damage, and then e-mail them over to us. This helps to speed the claims procedure along so that we can rectify any issues in a timely fashion. The documentation that is signed for at the time of delivery will play a pivotal role in these proceedings as will supporting evidence (i.e pictures). Therefore please ensure that it has been signed for correctly and photographs taken of original packaging and damage if possible. If you have signed for something in good condition and then later realise that it is damaged, it is very difficult for us to achieve a successful claim, and this can result in additional costs being incurred by you.

Returns

We aim to supply goods in excellent condition. We will repair or replace any item found defective or damaged before delivery or during unloading. Alternatively we may issue a refund for the said Item if we choose instead of replacing/repairing the item. This is in addition to your manufacturer’s guarantee where applicable. If after receiving the goods you change your mind, and the goods are still in a sale-able condition (i.e. how you received them) then you have up to fourteen days to return the goods to us. This is with the exception of unique/bespoke goods made to order, which we are unable to accept returns unless the goods are faulty/damaged upon delivery only.

Please contact company and request for Goods Return Form. Form MUST be attached to the returned items. Incomplete forms will not be processed.

If you send goods without GOODS RETURN FORM they will not be accepted.

It is the customers responsibility and duty to take reasonable care of all goods being returned to Kilnlinings and must be returned by the customers own courier AT THE CUSTOMERS OWN COST.

Goods returned after fourteen days will not be refunded.

Installation & Fitting

It is your responsibility to choose a product appropriate for your application (this includes but is not limited to size, fuel type, type of material). Once we have delivered your product, you are responsible for both suitable storage and installation.

As mentioned above to avoid unnecessary costs for our customers. We ask all of our customers NOT to book any installer, or other related trade persons until your goods have arrived safely with you and have been checked as correct and in good condition.

Limitations

Instructions for the installation and use of the materials should be carefully followed. The company cannot be aware of all the possible applications that the product(s) may be used for or the materials that the products may be used on, so it is always the purchaser/users responsibility to determine the suitability of use. Whilst we do our best to give correct and relevant advice when asked, the company cannot accept liability for design decisions, choice of products or their installation because these activities are outside of our control.

In all circumstances the liability of Kilnlinings as manufacturer only extends to the replacement value of the product(s) supplied and by using the product the user is deemed to have accepted these conditions. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Whilst we use high quality materials, hairline cracks and colour changes may be manifested on some pre-fabricated items such as (but not limited to) Bricks & Ovens, during and after operation because of the natural effect of thermal expansion and cooling respectively. These are superficial cracks only and do not affect the structural integrity of the product nor will they adversely affect the life and effectiveness of the product.

For full details on our terms and conditions or to clarify any of the above further please contact us at sales@kilnlinings.co.uk
